Apr 28, 2017 Hey guys, This is a little self-promotion - but I know my work with Ableton has been pretty popular here in the past, and I figure that it'll be of interest to some of you guys! I’ve just released a comprehensive performance template for Ableton Live: designed for the Push 2, but useable with the Push 1, the Launchpad Pro, and any similar controller.
I noticed many are setting up their MIDI controllers of choice using the built in feature within Serato DJ. However, If you are like me I find it difficult to use the default structure/scheme due to the dark environments I DJ at an I feel so many other DJs feel the same (By default the majority of the buttons will light up while some others will not light up at all) So I took it upon myself to start creating my own custom maps that will assign different colors to my buttons and make others active/responsive. Hence making it easier Visually to orient yourself to your programmed settings. ________________________ Examples shown in video: All Cue Point Buttons correspond to those cue points on my display and is arranged in the same manner as on my controller. Play Cue button: Blinks/Changes Color/Stays on solid depending on what it is doing. Note: In this video I only set up one side for proof of concept. I am trying different configurations out, once I find an 'ideal layout' I will be posting the file online for use. CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE VIDEO: >> youtu.be
Hey everyone! I made a DJ Template for the Push and I am giving it out for free. This is a fairly basic template and I hope to keep improving it over time. You can customize the color layout by adjust some of the knobs. You can add in your own drum kits, loops, clips, etc. There is a map for the layout included in the file. Hope this can be useful for some people. Please feel free to leave feedback, post videos using it or suggestions for improvement here: https://www.facebook.com/AbletonPushCommunity Thanks! https://www.dropbox.com/s/joogdrpgxb1gr ... e.zip?dl=0
